I'm a songwriting troubadour with an original catalog as well as Americana traditionals. Born out the beginnings of the Lower East Side Anti-Folk movement in NYC in the 90's and developed in backwoods picking circles of the farm states, U.S. I have been performing regularly since 1986.

Originally from Long Island, then NYC, a mecca of international folk music.  Dedicated to the idea of cultural learning. For many years I lived in a blue chevy camper van, touring the US without a schedule. Once, I set up at a gas station in Winfield, Kansas and busked myself ticket money for the famous Bluegrass Festival while the ladies at the register cheered me on and brought me cokes. I went to and performed at that festival next 4 years in a row.

I've taken busses thru foreign lands loaded with a small rucksack, mini guitar and a dictionary.

I was an integral part of the 'musical movement' that grew out of the lower east side of NYC in the late 90's and has recently peppered Europe with It's tours and merchandise. I have played and collaborated with such luminaries as Diane Cluck, Jeffery Lewis, Dufus, John Kessel,  Andre Herman Dune and many more

In 2005 I married and moved to Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Lived there a year, on the south border with Czech Republic.  Played singing, guitar and bass positions with an acclaimed traditional fusion band(Grupa Furmana/Duet Czardasza). With them I appeared on TVP 4, Polish national television.

In 2006 my family relocated to Puymirol, France out of a desire to finally learn french, and eat good food. I find I'm more home oriented now, and eat a lot of cabbage. Most of my collaboration work lately comes thru connections I have made on the road in europe. People come down to my house and we do studio writing sessions.

In 2006 I produced my 9th personal release;  an acoustic collection of material written over the last year in Poland and France.  on the way to india we stopped in poland, now in france.

In January 2006 I completed my first solo tour of Great Britain and Holland playing 12 shows over 15 days. Theaters, clubs and bars.

In October 2006 I completed the second such tour, playing 19 shows over 25 days.

One of my songs will be released on a compilation disc being published by the Amsterdam Songwriter's Guild, to be released late 2007. This comp will feature songwriters from all over Europe who have joined the organization through common interest in independant and original musical culture.

I will be appearing at one festival this summer. "The Copyleft Festival" in Donzac, France

July 2007  Scottish highlands tour with scattered dates in England

October 2007 Scottish Highlands tour.

The french band is a melange of French, British and American identity.  we are a four piece playing country bluegrass with a rock-n-roll feel.  We will be appearing in Toulouse  in November, and are preparing an extensive playing schedule in France for the winter and spring 2008.

the UK touring band is a rotating roster of string players from the UK and the States.

A collection titled "Spearman's Absynthe" is currently being tracked in Colorado by folks from the prolific Old Time session culture that thrives right on the front range of the rockies, in Lyons.

An as yet untitled recording is being planned for completion here in France of the rock combo, tracking starts in November 2007.
