Jeb Loy Nichols is a restless soul. An artist and author as well as a musician, he has released ten CD's, mixing folk, soul and country. Born in Wyoming and raised in Missouri, Nichols absorbed the sounds of both rural America and the southern soul he heard on the radio. At 17 he moved to New York; four years later he came to London.He spent five years playing with Fellow travellers, a country/dub band, and then released his first solo CD.

He has toured and played with John Martyn, Richard Thompson, Robert Cray,John Hiatt, Horace Andy and Lucinda Williams. Coal Porters Video from House Concert just posted. Thanks to Steve and Clancy for an other memorable night, in Strathpeffer, with the Cole Porters, their second visit to their house concert, and as Neil Bob Herd from the band anounced to the audience, "Everyone should play Steve and Clancy's House Concert twice in their carreer, once on the way up and once on the way down" "Its a pleasure to be back" !!!

Ness mp3.com favourite (three in the top five of last months download chart and top of the video chart) has a free night while in the Highlands, 10th october he has radio to do in the afternoon but is free to come to your hoos for a house concert let me know.

Vision Shack on RadioReverb 97.2 FM locally or www.radioreverb.com globally, recorded 10th January with Nathaniel White discussing Ecovillages, what they mean, ways of living and relating with others, independently but co-operatively and aiming for a future that is sustainable not just in the narrow sense of ecology but in the total sense of human values as social beings. Kevin Trott, who has built an Earthship in Normandy with the help of their originator, Michael Reynolds, and was involved in obtaining planning permission from Brighton and Hove City Council for a proposed 16 dwelling project above the marina in Brighton explains Earthships and biotecture in general, how they work and what part they can play in our future. The program takes a realistic look not only at the ideal of living in a supportive, sustainable, multi-use environment but also at ways and organisations that can help ordinary city dwellers make the transition from an oil fuelled world to a non-oil future, an inevitable, but not necessarily painful transition. Alongside a few CD tracks there is also a wonderful number from Ben Konstantinovic the gifted young lap-tapping guitarist who recently made a Healthy Concerts debut with his brilliant guitar playing.
