Joe Cartoon: Drew Nelson covers I'm a Little Catfish

a note from Joe.

It is no secret that I am particularly proud of "I'm a Little Catfish".
Many on the Youtube have found the song so lovely and true that they
have covered the song with vast amounts of dignity and grace. Fascinated
by this measured phenomenon I asked my friend and fishing buddy DREW
NELSON to take a swing at it. Drew brought himself, a small band of
like minded musicians, a camera crew and a recording studio out to my
barn on a beautiful Michigan fall day. Under the influence of Heineken,
Jameson's Whiskey and all around good vibes, a masterpiece was laid down
in digital form so that forever the masses could be soothed by what Drew
has dubbed to be "The Catfish Sessions".

This was the coolest thing to happen to Joecartoon in a billion years.
It was an absolute blast. I felt honored and fortunate to be in the
presence of true greatness!

All that being said, I now wish to share it with you...

Grand Rapids, Michigan - 08/20/2008 - Two Hearted Music LLC is pleased to annouce that Michigan Singer/Songwriter Drew Nelson has signed with The Grapevine Music Agency in the United Kingdom.

Grapevine is a new company that is solely designed to promote and support top quality acoustic music and those who create and perform that music. It was set up in 2008 by two people, Bob Butler and Claire Stein, who have a wealth of experience in the music, arts and entertainment sectors and who have been responsible for running everything from large festivals to intimate venues, complex arts centres to major local authority arts programmes. Until April 2008 they owned Otterton Mill, in Devon, which as well as being one of the most popular visitor attractions in the south west of England, incorporated a hugely successful music venue hosting weekly sell-out shows featuring many of the world's leading acoustic musicians.

When asked about adding Nelson the the Grapevine aritst roster Bob Butler said "Claire and I have been involved in promoting music for over 30 years so opening our own Agency was a natural progression. We decided immediately that we only wanted to work with the very best singer/songwriters from the UK and North America and Drew Nelson was one of the first names on our list. We promoted a lot of shows last year but Drew's performance at Otterton Mill was the best I saw all year. Boy, this guy's got talent! We look forward to a long and successful partnership this side of the water."

Nelson said he is "Thrilled" about partnering with Grapevine. "It's always been a dream to take my music all over the world and play for people, Bob,Claire and the Grapevine agency are helping me make that dream come true".

They are currently booking Nelson next tour of England, Scotland and Ireland for June and July of 2009.
