Emma Shearer and Matt Sillars playing blues, singer songwriter stuff, a wee bit of country ('cause its good for you) and classic 'punk country'! They open up this night and we are using tonight to launch a regular Open Mic Night at the Coffee Show, the Idea is from Feb 11 there will be an acoustic open mic night or a featured Medicine Show every second Thursday at the intimate Coffee Shop in Strathpeffer. If you would like to take part drop me a line here now, you will need 20 minutes (4 songs) of material and a will to perform, these evening will be free by donation (bring a bottle) events all money raised will go to the artists performing for expences. We will be introducing regular special guest and these will be ticketed shows with different support floor spots drawn from the regular players at the club.

Danny Wilson/Swiss Family Orbison founder Kit Clark premiers new material at the Square Wheels House Concert
Founding member of Scottish pop trio Danny Wilson and Indie guitar combo The Swiss Family Orbison singer and songwriter Kit Clark is now going out on the road solo and at the piano performing a large selection of brand new songs for the first time in public (and a few older ones too) This will be the very first airing.
Happy New-year one and all , thanks for your continued support for The Medicine Show and independently minded music in general, 2010 is getting off to a great start for us with shows from 4 international artists that can't be seen in Scotland anywhere else other than at Celtic Connections.
We take to Cafe Culture again with an other show at The Coffee Shop in Strathpeffer (with Pedemont Blues Poet Malcolm Holcombe). We am looking for help to establish a regular open mic night at this beautifully intimate and friendly venue, if your interested in helping and/or playing let me know.
