A after a couple of people asked me to upload some stuff I did in the 70s I have uploaded a couple of tracks from S.A.L.T. and One of RamRod.
"All wired up" was released on an EP of the same name in 77/78 and "Street walker" is a demo from about the same time. The line up of S.A.L.T. Was Mick Clarke- Guitar, Stuart Macdonald-Bass, Alan Platt-Drums & myself (at that time known as "Little Steve") on vocal & blues harp. We were quite popular in London and the southern counties playing the reading Festival in '77.
"Mr Downchild" is a RamRod demo dating from around '79/'80.
In about '79 Rod D'eath & Lou Martin left Rory Gallegher. Alan had left S.A.L.T. to join Wilko Johnson so RamRod was formed with the remaining members of S.A.L.T. and adding Rod on drums and Lou on keyboards. After some initial success Punk hit the scene big time and so we, and a lot of bands like us were suddenly, out of fashion and fecked so to speak ... and there you have a potted history of both band
Oh and I've a couple of Photos of the band with a vey young looking Ret indeed...lol
